Why bother appealing

Many denials get reversed when someone actually prepares. That preparation is what we sell.

The state's hearing officer will weigh testimony, documents, and timeline against the statutory standard for your denial reason. A worker who shows up without that record in hand is not arguing on equal terms.

Frequently asked

Common questions

Is there a deadline to appeal an unemployment denial?+

Yes — and it's short. Wisconsin gives you 14 days. Miss the window and you usually lose the right to appeal at all, so the first thing we do is confirm your deadline and protect it.

What if my appeal is already filed?+

Filing the appeal is the easy part — the harder work is the hearing. We still handle every step from there: drafting a preparation packet, organizing exhibits, building your timeline, and preparing you for the questions the hearing officer will actually ask.

Is the $150 really all I pay?+

Yes. There is no hourly billing on top and no extra charge for the 15-minute pre-hearing consult that's part of the package. Court filing fees do not apply to unemployment appeals.

Will Attorney Brennan attend the hearing with me?+

The $150 package covers preparation and a pre-hearing consult. If you want representation at the hearing itself, that's available on a select basis for a contingency fee — we'll walk you through the math during your consult so you can decide what makes sense for your case.

Do you handle other states besides Wisconsin?+

Not yet — Wisconsin is the only state we currently take appeals in. If you're appealing somewhere else, reach out anyway at tyler@tylerwbrennanlaw.com — we can often point you to a colleague in your state.
